China Daily recently highlighted Serbia’s growing strategic role in Eurasian industrial and supply chains, examining the country’s geographic position, transport infrastructure, China–Serbia industrial cooperation, and the expanding presence of international supply chain companies.
The report cited Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, who noted that as global supply chains undergo continued restructuring, Serbia is increasingly leveraging its position between Central and Western Europe, Southeast Europe, and Asia to evolve from a traditional transport crossroads into what he described as a “smart crossroads”—a hub connecting logistics, manufacturing, technology, and regional supply chain services.
Among the companies featured in this development is JUSDA, whose growing presence in Serbia reflects the country’s emerging role as a regional supply chain hub.
From a Transit Point to a Regional Supply Chain Hub
Serbia sits at the intersection of several important European transport corridors and forms part of the Trans-European Transport Network.
Despite being landlocked, the country is connected to major European and international markets through an increasingly integrated network of road, rail, intermodal transport, inland waterways, and air routes. The Danube provides access toward the Black Sea, while road and rail links connect Serbia with ports on the Adriatic and Mediterranean coasts.
This multimodal connectivity gives Serbia the ability to serve markets across the Balkans and Southeast Europe while providing links between the European Union and Asia.
But infrastructure alone does not create a supply chain hub.
As manufacturing, logistics, and technology industries continue to develop in Serbia, the country’s geographic advantage is increasingly being translated into practical capabilities in warehousing, transportation, regional distribution, and supply chain management.
That transition is also attracting more international logistics and manufacturing companies to establish local operations.

JUSDA Strengthens Its Southeast European Network
In 2026, JUSDA established a regional logistics and distribution center in Vojvodina, northern Serbia, further strengthening its supply chain network across Central, Eastern, and Southeast Europe.
Čadež specifically highlighted JUSDA’s investment as a positive signal for Chinese and other Asian logistics and manufacturing companies considering Serbia and the broader European market.
The significance of the investment goes beyond a single logistics facility.
Through JUSDA SEE, JUSDA combines its global supply chain network with localized European operations to provide integrated services across road, rail, ocean and air freight, warehousing, customs clearance, supply chain optimization, and digital shipment visibility.
Serbia provides a strategic base within this network.
To the west are major European manufacturing and consumer markets. To the south lies the wider Balkan region. Rail and multimodal transport corridors also create connections toward Asia and the broader Eurasian supply chain network.
This positioning enables JUSDA to further connect Asian manufacturing capabilities with European production bases and end markets.
For global manufacturers, this regional capability is becoming increasingly important.
Supply chain strategies today are no longer focused solely on moving goods from one location to another. Companies increasingly need warehousing, inventory management, transportation, regional distribution, customs capabilities, and digital visibility closer to both production sites and customers.
By integrating these capabilities, businesses can improve delivery performance, respond more quickly to disruption, and build greater resilience into their supply chains.
JUSDA’s development in Serbia reflects this broader shift.
Rather than treating Serbia simply as a point along a transport corridor, JUSDA is building supply chain capabilities that can support customers across multiple European markets.

China–Serbia Cooperation Moves from Connectivity to Integration
China–Serbia cooperation is also evolving.
While infrastructure connectivity has played an important role in bilateral cooperation, collaboration is increasingly extending into industries such as electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, robotics, new energy, advanced manufacturing, and smart infrastructure.
This shift is creating new requirements for supply chains.
Advanced manufacturing operations require much more than conventional transportation and warehousing. They depend on stable, transparent, and predictable supply chain systems capable of coordinating production, inventory, logistics, information, and market demand.
For manufacturers connecting Asian production capabilities with European markets, physical infrastructure provides the foundation. The next level of competitiveness comes from the ability to integrate those physical networks with supply chain operations and digital management.
This is where companies such as JUSDA can play a larger role.
With extensive experience in manufacturing supply chains, a global logistics network, localized operations, and digital supply chain capabilities, JUSDA is continuing to strengthen its European service network to support manufacturers across production, logistics, inventory, and market fulfillment.
Its expansion in Serbia therefore aligns with the broader evolution of China–Serbia cooperation—from infrastructure connectivity toward deeper coordination across industrial chains, supply chains, and innovation ecosystems.

Building a “Smart Crossroads” Between Asia and Europe
According to Čadež, the next stage of Belt and Road cooperation will place greater emphasis on technological innovation, digitalization, and green development.
Serbia’s ambition is therefore not limited to becoming a logistics hub.
The country aims to strengthen its position as a manufacturing and technology hub as well—a “smart crossroads” between Asia and Europe.
The idea extends beyond roads, railways, ports, and warehouses.
A true smart crossroads connects production, technology, logistics, capital, talent, and markets, transforming geographic advantage into long-term industrial value.
The growing presence of companies such as JUSDA is helping turn that concept into practical supply chain infrastructure—from warehousing networks and transport corridors to regional distribution and integrated supply chain services.
For JUSDA, Serbia is part of a broader commitment to building localized supply chain capabilities across Europe and other key global markets.
By combining its global network, local operating expertise, and digital supply chain capabilities, JUSDA will continue helping manufacturers connect production with markets and build supply chains that are more agile, efficient, visible, and resilient.

Connecting Asia and Europe. Connecting manufacturing with markets.
Taking global supply chain connectivity further.
