JUSDA Creates A New Channel for International Sea-Rail Transportation to Seamlessly Connect the "Maritime-Continental" Silk Road

On July 22, 2019, the first batch of high-value goods of sea-rail transport undertaken by JUSDA for an internationally renowned brand arrived at Xiamen Harbor. The goods were shipped from Jakarta Port, Indonesia on July 14. After a short transit stopover at Xiamen Harbor, they were transported from Haicang Rail Station, Xiamen to Duisburg, Germany by China-Europe Freight Block TrainIt is expected  to run for 28 days, faster over 20% than the traditional single sea transportation.

 

 

The Indonesian transit goods undertaken by JUSDA are the transit goods of the new starting region (Indonesia) after the international cargo transit business by China-Europe (Xiamen) Freight Block Train was conducted from  Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan. It is also the new service route Sea-Rail Transportation jointly developed by JUSDA and China-Europe (Xiamen) Freight Block Train.

 

In the past, Southeast Asian shippers could choose only two modes of transportation - by ocean shipping and air freight for sending goods to Europe, the former took long time and the latter took high cost. The new route of Sea-Rail Transportation has solved the problem well. Not only does it has shortened the transportation time and adjusted the transportation structure, but also it has greatly improved the operation efficiency of supply chain, with cost reduced by 80%, capital turnover rate increased by more than 25% and inventory turnover rate rose by more than 65% .. It has given full play to the unique advantages of JUSDA Intelligent Supply Chain Management, decreasing inventory with cost reducing and raising efficiency with quality improving of customers.

 

In a deeper sense, the goods’ first shipping with the new service route of Sea-Rail Transportation has provided a comprehensive solution of International Sea-Rail Transportation for the industry, and further created a new international logistics channel to seamlessly connect the "Maritime Silk Road" and the "Land Silk Road", which will strongly strengthen economic and trade exchanges among the countries along the "Belt and Road" and lay a New Economic Corridor.

When goods are shipped from Southeast Asia to Europe, the traditional mode of transport is mainly by sea and supplemented by air.
